LabCorp in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections, prepare specimens for testing, and ensure accurate data entry and patient service at multiple site locations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Phlebotomy certification or training, and strong communication skills. Vaccination against COVID-19 is required where legally permissible.

Formación

• Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED or equivalent, Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred Qualifications: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Additional Job Standards: Phlebotomy certification/training from an accredited agency; strong customer service; clear written and verbal communication; ability to work independently or in a team; reliable transportation; overtime flexibility; color vision ability.

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
