Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at a client site in Boone, NC. You will perform skilled specimen collections and provide exceptional customer service while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy training or certification, and the ability to travel to additional sites as needed. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
