Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in West New York, NJ. The role involves collecting blood samples by venipuncture or capillary methods for patients of all ages, with data entry and billing duties as needed.

We value strong communication and exceptional customer service, and there is travel to additional sites as required. A high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent with 6+ months phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training preferred.
• Proven track record of exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
