Job summary

Labcorp in Shelby, SC is looking for a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, handle specimens, and provide friendly patient service in a client setting.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm with rotating Saturdays. Must have a high school diploma or GED, or phlebotomy certification; training or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience acceptable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or phlebotomy certification.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program required.
• 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
