Job summary

Labcorp in Charleston, SC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections, ensure accurate data entry, and provide friendly service to patients in a fast-paced setting.

The role may operate in a Patient Service Center or client office, with opportunities for growth within Labcorp. A high school diploma, phlebotomy certification or training, and strong communication are required for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Color vision test clearance and reliable transportation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for tests including drug screens and other analyses.
• Enter patient information accurately into our system.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs and ensure accuracy.
• Provide superior customer service to patients and clients.
• Assist with administrative and clerical duties as needed.
