Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomist to join our Bloomington, IL team. The role involves venipuncture and capillary collections for patients of all ages, accurate data entry, and billing responsibilities.

You will provide high-quality service at the patient service center or client office and travel to additional sites as needed. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or equivalent training, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Proven ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
