Job summary

Labcorp in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections and manage specimen processing for diverse patient age groups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm and every 6th Saturday at the Patient Service Center (PSC) in Bloomington, IL. We believe in the power of science to change lives. Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Pay Range: $15.30 - $26.44 per hour

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
