Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Skokie, IL. This role involves performing venipuncture and capillary collections for all ages, entering patient data accurately, and supporting billing processes. Travel to additional sites may be required.

The position emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining specimen integrity, and adhering to compliance standards in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
