Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Pascagoula, MS. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm with a 1-hour lunch. Responsibilities include blood collection, specimen handling, data entry, and patient service at either a patient service center or client site.

Vaccination requirement and accommodations apply. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or 3+ months experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
