Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Jackson, Missouri team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections for all ages, collect specimens for drug screens and tests, and ensure accurate data entry and timely processing of billing information.

You will provide exceptional customer service, maintain logs, and travel to additional sites as needed. A PST Incentive Plan offers a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience in outpatient lab (preferred).
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
