Job summary

Labcorp in Charleston, SC is hiring a Phlebotomist to join our patient-service team. You will perform specimen collection, ensure accurate data entry and maintain patient records while delivering excellent service.

We offer a structured schedule, opportunities for growth, and comprehensive benefits. A phlebotomy certification or training, plus high school diploma, are required; 6 months' experience is preferred. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
