Job summary

Labcorp in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection, specimen handling and delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will work in either a Patient Service Center or client office, with a schedule Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 1:00pm and rotating weekends. Opportunities for growth are available within the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
