Job summary

Labcorp in Charleston, SC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team as a patient-facing specialist. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, handle specimen logistics, and support billing and data entry with a focus on accuracy and quality service.

The role offers opportunities for growth within Labcorp with a schedule Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–12:00pm, and rotating weekends, in either a Patient Service Center or Client office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months experience as phlebotomist.
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
