Job summary

Labcorp in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections for all ages, collect specimens, and ensure accurate data entry and handling.

Responsibilities include processing billing, preparing specimens, maintaining logs, and providing excellent customer service. Travel to additional sites may be required; working schedule Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in North Charleston, SC.

Job Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:15am - 5:15pm with rotating Saturdays.

Job Responsibilities

• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
