Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Dorset St in South Burlington, VT. The role involves collecting specimens via venipuncture, preparing samples for testing, and ensuring accurate patient data entry. It requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with a preference for 1+ year of phlebotomy experience.

The position offers a standard Monday–Friday schedule with rotating Saturdays and opportunities for growth within Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist is required.
• 1 year+ phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited agency may substitute for work experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
