Job description

Phlebotomist Float

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team covering Westminster to South Burlington in South Burlington, VT. Work schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 7:30am-4:30pm, with rotating Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program.
• Or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency if no work experience.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation.
• Be at least 21 years old.

Pay Information

Pay Range: $17.75 - $20.00 per hour

Float incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.
