Job summary

Labcorp in Vermont is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to cover from Westminster to South Burlington, providing patient blood collections across multiple sites. The role involves venipuncture and capillary draws for all ages, data entry, and handling billing as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training (or 3+ months experience), strong communication and customer service, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience.
• Color vision test; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
