Job summary

Labcorp, a global leader in diagnostic testing, seeks a Phlebotomist in South Plainfield, NJ. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, data entry, and delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications require a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy training or experience, and the ability to work Monday–Friday with occasional overtime. Pay ranges from $17.75 to $24 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or phlebotomy certification, or 3+ months phlebotomy experience.
• 6 months or more phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Pass color-blindness test; strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently or in a team; reliable transportation; overtime flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
