Job summary

Labcorp in Madisonville, Kentucky is hiring a Phlebotomist to join our team. Schedule is Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm and Friday 8:00am–1:00pm, with travel to additional sites as needed.

You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for various tests, enter patient information, and support billing processes while delivering excellent patient service. The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 1+ year phlebotomy experience; certification or accredited training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color vision test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient data accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain logs for patient and specimen information.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Assist with administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.
