Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Accredited program in Phlebotomy completed.
• 5–10 years of Phlebotomy experience.
• 2–3 years medical office experience.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Knowledge of payer requirements for referrals and pre-authorization.
• Knowledge of computerized billing system.

Responsabilités

• Provide phlebotomy and front desk duties including patient registration and scheduling.
• Verify and collect insurance information and co-pays at check-in.
• Process payments and post transactions in GE Front Desk Credit Card Module.
• Support revenue cycle by collecting demographics and insurance data.
• Uphold FPI policies and promote positive guest relations.
• Verify requisition orders and match to specimen labels.
• Clarify special instructions before venipuncture.
