Job summary

Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, IA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-centered laboratory team. You will collect specimens from inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients, performing phlebotomy/blood draws and completing laboratory requests.

With a high school diploma and preferred one year of hospital or medical setting experience, you will contribute to data collection, phone inquiries, and basic waived testing under the Director of Laboratory supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year experience in hospital or medical setting is preferred, phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens from inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients.
• Perform phlebotomy/blood draws for patient treatment.
• Complete laboratory requests, answer the phone, and compile statistical data.
• May float as a Patient Care Tech in other departments as needed.
