Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA is seeking a part-time phlebotomist for the lab. The role involves safe blood collection, proper patient identification, specimen labeling, and maintaining sample integrity in a fast-paced environment.

You will train new staff and phlebotomy students while delivering courteous service to outpatients and inpatients. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 2pm–6pm, totaling 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in phlebotomy training or on-the-job training accepted.
• Experience in a regulated laboratory is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections accurately in a fast-paced lab.
• Ensure correct patient identification and sample labeling.
• Maintain specimen integrity and smooth workflow.
