Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, IA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the laboratory team. The role involves drawing blood from inpatients and outpatients, and performing waived testing as directed by the Laboratory Director.

Responsibilities include completing lab requests, taking calls, and maintaining data; occasional float to other departments as needed. PTO is available from day one, and weekend coverage is required with a 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience in hospital or medical setting preferred, experience in phlebotomy preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collect specimens from inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients.
• Perform clerical duties of completing and ordering laboratory requests; answer the phone; compile statistics.
• Perform waived status laboratory testing as directed by Director of Laboratory.
• May float as a Patient Care Tech in other departments as needed.
