Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Phlebotomy Technician to join the Good Samaritan lab team. You will perform venipuncture and collect specimens across age groups, verify patient information, and ensure proper labeling and handling for testing.

The role requires phlebotomy knowledge, basic computer skills, and strong communication. Schedule includes 8-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Benefits eligible per Advocate Health guidelines.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of phlebotomy procedures and specimen handling.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer and data entry proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Verifies patient identity and facilitates specimen collection.
• Perform venipuncture and collect samples per protocol.
• Label and track specimens, ensure proper handling for testing.
• Assist with inventory and billing support as needed.
• Enter results in the LIS and communicate STAT/critical results per policy.
• Instruct staff and students in basic phlebotomy and processing.
