Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture for specimen collection.
• Label, process, and dispatch specimens to testing locations.
• Enter test requisitions and maintain accurate patient information.
• Greet and direct patients through the lab and gather registration data.
• Maintain quality control and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• May perform point-of-care testing where applicable.
• Maintain chain of custody for pre-employment drug screens.
