The Ohio State University is seeking a Phlebotomist- Outpatient for the IRP at University Hospital's Outpatient Customer Service. The PST performs venipuncture and capillary collection, labels specimens, and dispatches them for testing across multiple outpatient sites in the Greater Columbus Area.

Responsibilities include patient check-in, obtaining complete information for accessioning, and ensuring quality control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification is preferred, but not required.

Responsabilités

• Perform specimen collection by venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Label and process specimens and dispatch to testing locations.
• Greet and direct patients, gather information for registration and accessioning.
• May perform point-of-care testing and ensure quality control.
