Job summary

Centers Laboratory of New Jersey seeks Phlebotomists for weekday shifts (8 AM - 7 PM) at our Hammonton, NJ location. The ideal candidate has 2 years of phlebotomy experience and excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, specimen collection, labeling, and ensuring safety standards. Requires a High School diploma; a Phlebotomy Technician certificate is preferred or completion of a hospital or major lab training program. Will work across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Must have high school degree or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy Technician certificate preferred; if not, hospital or major lab training program completed.
• 2 years proven experience as a phlebotomist.
• Experience with standard blood drawing practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients using wristbands or documents and prepare for blood draw.
• Assemble supplies and equipment per standards.
• Draw blood using proper techniques and ensure test tubes are correctly labeled.
• Follow safety procedures and dispose of sharps and waste properly.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide post-draw aftercare instructions.
• Collect and process Covid-19 tests as trained.
• Record keeping and accurate patient records are maintained.
• Attend required meetings and training programs.
