Job summary

Centers Laboratory of New Jersey is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to work across multiple locations in Sussex County, NJ. The ideal candidate has 2 years of phlebotomy experience and excellent interpersonal skills, reporting to the Phlebotomy Supervisor.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, collecting blood samples, labeling, and ensuring safety and confidentiality in a busy laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy Technician certificate preferred.
• 2 years proven experience as a phlebotomist.
• Understanding of standard blood drawing practices and procedures.
• Valid State driver’s license with a good driving record; access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients using wristbands or documents and prepare for blood draw.
• Assemble supplies and equipment required for specimen collection per standards.
• Determine appropriate venipuncture method based on patient factors.
• Draw blood using proper equipment and techniques.
• Label tubes correctly and ensure proper storage and transport.
