Job summary

Centers Laboratory of New Jersey is actively seeking Phlebotomists to work weekdays 8 AM - 7 PM at our Passaic, NJ site. The ideal candidate has 2 years of experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and follows strict safety procedures.

Reports to the Phlebotomy Supervisor. Will work in multiple locations as needed, performing blood draws and specimen processing with accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy Technician certificate is preferred.
• Two years of proven experience as a phlebotomist is expected.
• Understanding of standard blood drawing practices and procedures.
• Valid state driver's license and adequate auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients and obtain consent for blood draws.
• Prepare patient and equipment according to policies.
• Draw blood using proper techniques and labeling procedures.
• Ensure sample stability, proper test tube order and transport.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safe, clean work area.
• Follow safety procedures and report issues to supervisor.
