Job summary

LabCorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Anniston AL. This role involves phlebotomy procedures, specimen handling and providing excellent patient service in a clinical setting.

The position requires vaccination against COVID-19 and includes benefits as described by LabCorp. Schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00am–11:00am with rotating Saturdays, and travel to additional sites when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
