Job summary

LabCorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Tuscaloosa, AL. The position requires phlebotomy skills, patient service, and accurate data entry. Work schedule is Mon-Thu 8:00am-5:00pm with Friday 8:00am-12:00pm.

Vaccination is required where permitted by law. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training; 1 year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain logs for patient and specimen information.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.
• Serve as the face of LabCorp, offering exceptional service and opportunities for growth.
