Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist in Birmingham, AL. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, preparing specimens for testing, and ensuring accurate data entry and patient records.

You will travel to additional sites as needed and provide exceptional patient service. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy experience; certification or formal training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
