Job summary

Labcorp in Olney, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Schedule is Monday through Friday 8:45am - 5:15pm, with Saturdays as assigned, and opportunities to travel to additional sites as needed.

Responsibilities include performing blood collections, processing specimens, data entry, billing support, and delivering excellent patient service. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
