Job summary

One Medical is seeking a Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant in Austin, TX, to deliver venipuncture and clinical support while maintaining an inviting lobby experience. You will be the first point of contact, coordinating patient intake, scheduling, and front-desk tasks in a fast-paced environment.

You will also perform extended scope duties, support providers and the virtual medical team, and master our tech stack to ensure smooth patient care and office operations.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of relevant experience as Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist
• Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Proficient with multiple software systems and computer use
• Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams
• Calm, compassionate approach to patient interactions

Responsibilities

• Provide venipuncture and basic clinical support to patients of varying ages
• Handle front desk duties including check-in, scheduling, and insurance verification
• Assist with extended duties such as non-blood collection, EKGs, vitals, vaccines and swabs
• Maintain accurate specimen labeling, handling, and inventory control
• Respond to patient messages and support providers with clerical tasks
• Open/close duties and maintain office appearance and supplies
• Master the tech stack (Slack, G-suite, Zoom, EMR) to coordinate daily work
