Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Phlebotomist/Lab Support Tech I for Milford Regional Cancer Center in Milford, MA. This on-site, 40-hour day-shift role involves phlebotomy, specimen handling, and computer order entry, with a focus on patient care and accurate specimen management.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen labeling, processing, and supporting lab operations. Required: high school diploma and valid driver's license; preferred: phlebotomy training and ASCP certification.

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication required.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy experience and ASCP certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and perform phlebotomy procedures (venipuncture) following department protocols.
• Assist with specimen receiving, labeling, and transport.
• Operate hospital information systems and place test orders as needed.
• Answer calls and provide telephone support for the lab.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and restock supplies.
