HCA Healthcare's UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando is seeking a Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist. The role covers specimen collection, processing, and registration, with a focus on accuracy and patient safety.

You will perform venipunctures/finger sticks across age groups, follow procedures, document results, and educate patients about collection procedures. A supportive team environment and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Formación

• Ability to interact with co-workers in a team environment.
• Excellent customer service practices in all interactions.
• Effectively communicate with all personnel to exchange accurate and timely technical information.
• May assist in communication to customers, floors, physicians regarding problem/pending specimens.
• Requires 2+ years’ experience in registration, clerical duties, and sending out of specimen processing.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of specimen collection and testing requirements.
• Proficient in venipunctures and/or finger sticks on diverse patient populations.
• Uses computer information system relative to job functions.
• Performs registration and order entry procedures with accuracy and timeliness.
• Labels specimens and aliquots according to established protocols.
