Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist II for North Bergen, NJ, with an every-other-weekend schedule from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in some states.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings, insurance exams).
• Navigate lab technology systems and verify orders accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport preparation.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and complete training timely.
