Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for Paramus, NJ. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekend shifts. Pay range is $24.50 to $26.25 per hour.

Salary offers consider skills, training, and experience, with potential annual bonus compensation. Required: HS diploma or equivalent; three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric and geriatric collections. Medical training preferred; phlebotomy certification preferred in some states.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard or data entry experience.
• Able to work weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test/client information and confirm/verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments per policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones and email.
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
