Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Rutherford, NJ seeks a Phlebotomist II for part-time hours: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 4:00 PM–7:00 PM and Sat 8:30 AM–1:00 PM. The role offers a pay range of $24.50–$26.25 per hour and eligible bonuses based on performance.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and processing while maintaining compliance with policies. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, three years phlebotomy experience, and driving flexibility.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred and required in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab technology systems and client communications.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing info, collecting payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and statistics; complete trainings timely.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA)

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

Three years phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, capillary)

Keyboard/data entry experience

Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime
