Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist I in North Bergen, NJ, with an every-other-weekend schedule from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM. This hospital-based role at Palisades offers hourly pay between $22.80 and $24.45, plus potential shift differentials. The position requires a high school diploma and phlebotomy training; certification preferred.

One year of phlebotomy experience is encouraged. Benefits include vacation, holidays, 401(k) and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify orders using lab systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Ability to navigate a computer and accurately enter data is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and transport as required by test order.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and using email.
