Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks a Phlebotomist II in Waco, TX, working Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Pay range starts at $20.00 per hour with potential bonuses based on performance, skills, and experience.

The role includes collecting specimens, verifying test orders, data entry, billing, and maintaining logs. Requires 3 years phlebotomy experience and a valid driver's license; applicable certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver\'s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; Required in California, Nevada and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify all orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing info and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing and answering phones.
• Read and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete training courses timely.
