Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks a Phlebotomist II in Richmond, TX. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with pay starting at $20.80 per hour and bonuses possible based on performance and other factors.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, verifying orders, data entry, and maintaining logs. Qualifications require phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma, with certifications preferred in some states.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard or data entry experience required.
• Flexibility to cover weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information; verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Read, understand and comply with policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance and temperature logs).
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
