Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Lakeway, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join the team on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational weekends. The position offers a pay range starting at $24.50 per hour and eligibility for annual bonus compensation depending on performance.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, data entry, verifying orders, and maintaining logs and departmental records.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory and sanitation.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies.
• Assist with statistics and data compilation.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance records.
• Complete training courses timely.
