Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Waco, TX seeks a Phlebotomist II to perform specimen collection and related duties in a Monday–Friday day schedule. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, quality sample handling, and patient-friendly service.

Required three years phlebotomy experience and HS diploma; CA etc certifications preferred. Training provided; opportunity for growth and benefits per company policy.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver`s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screenings).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Navigate lab technology systems to verify orders and enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments if required.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, sanitation, filing, phones, email).
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and comply with policies and procedures.
