Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Jackson, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekend duties. Pay range is $24.50 - $26.25 per hour, with potential annual bonus consideration.

The position requires 3 years of phlebotomy experience, strong data-entry skills, and reliable transportation. A high school diploma is required; phlebotomy certification is preferred or required in some states.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties including inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and using email.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and maintenance logs.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
