Pay starts at $20.80+ per hour. The position emphasizes accurate data entry, specimen collection, and adherence to lab procedures in a fast-paced environment. Experience in phlebotomy (3+ years) and a high school diploma are required; medical training or phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience is required.
• Flexibility for weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client information.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, calls and email.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics and data submissions as needed.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and training records.
