Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Farmers Branch, TX seeks a Phlebotomist II. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational weekends. Pay starts at $20.80 per hour and includes potential bonuses based on performance.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and ensuring accurate processing of tests. Candidates need 3+ years of phlebotomy experience and a HS diploma; certification preferred, and reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain IDs and enter billing information; collect payments when required.
• Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport).
• Perform non-patient facing duties (inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones, email).
• Read and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with statistics/data submission.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance, temperature).
• Complete training courses timely.
