Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in North Richland Hills, TX, seeks a Phlebotomist II for a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with rotating weekend shifts. The position offers a pay range starting at $22.35 per hour and potential bonuses based on performance.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and adherence to lab procedures and safety policies. Candidates should have at least three years of phlebotomy experience, English communication ability, and a high school

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance & temperature logs) timely.
• Complete online and in-person training courses timely.
