Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Boerne, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist II to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends. The position pays $21.50+ per hour and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, verifying orders, data entry, and maintaining phlebotomy logs. The successful candidate will have at least three years of phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma, and flexibility to work weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures. Includes drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify test/client orders using lab technology systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required per policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, emails.
• Maintain departmental policies and procedures compliance.
• Assist with statistics and data submission as required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (e.g., maintenance, temperature logs).
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
