Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks a Phlebotomist II for a part-time Saturday shift in Newark, NJ (6:30 AM – 12:00 PM). The role collects specimens, verifies orders, and handles data entry in a fast-paced lab environment.

Requirements include three years of phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma; phlebotomy certification is preferred. Benefits are offered for part-time staff including eligible pro-rated programs.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• High school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in English and be flexible for weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures including drug screens and biometric tests.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client information to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and process samples for transport as required by test orders.
• Perform non-patient duties such as inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
